My Story
Mike earned a degree in Finance from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in May 1995. Following graduation, he spent seven years in management with United Supermarkets, where he developed strong leadership and organizational skills.
After facing a prolonged illness that lasted 11 years, Mike found renewed purpose through serving others. While volunteering at Living Word Fellowship Church, he began assisting with case management for benevolent needs through the Woodward Ministerial Alliance, which was then housed at the church. It was during this time that his passion for helping individuals and families in crisis became a defining part of his work.
In July 2015, he was selected as the Director of the Salvation Army in Woodward. Over the course of nine years, he faithfully served in that role while also taking on oversight of three Salvation Army territories, supporting eight counties across Northwest Oklahoma. During his tenure, he played a key role in coordinating response efforts for two major disasters in the region, demonstrating both compassion and steady leadership in times of crisis.
In December 2024, Mike became the first official case manager for The Day Center, continuing his commitment to serving those in need. He stepped into the role of Operations Director for The Hope Center in May 2025, where he now helps lead efforts that impact seven counties and 18 communities.
Known for his servant’s heart and dedication to meeting people where they are, Mike continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those he serves.
